What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at The Goddard School?
Our growing school is actively seeking teachers for our Infant classroom. Teachers are responsible for assuming the responsibility of maintaining positive working relationships with parents and fellow teachers, as well as managing the class environment. A successful candidate should be able to work well with a team and have excellent classroom management skills. Qualifications needed to be effective in this role include, knowledge of child development, best practices, and preschool education methods, as well as the ability to engage young children and earn their trust and attention. Experience with infants age 6 weeks and up required.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare lessons and evaluate students' progress.
- Effectively maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment.
- Record and maintain daily logs for each child.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols in the classroom at all times.
- Ability and willingness to be flexible to meet the changing needs of the students and or school.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Patient, compassionate and a caring attitude.
- Classroom management skills
Qualifications:
Must possess at minimum a Highschool diploma, CDA/Associates or actively pursuing strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 - $16.00 per hour
