Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic full-time Banquet Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of events at our venue. This role requires a combination of excellent event management, vendor coordination, and budget management skills to deliver exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including liaising with clients, coordinating third-party vendors, ensuring venue cleanliness, and supervising staff schedules.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning and Coordination:
- Meet with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored event proposals.
- Plan event details, including venue layout, décor, and setup, ensuring all aspects align with client expectations.
- Coordinate and schedule vendors (e.g., caterers, DJs, photographers) required for each event.
Event Execution:
- Oversee the successful execution of events, ensuring all elements run smoothly and on schedule.
- Manage and resolve issues promptly to maintain a high standard of service and client satisfaction.
Facility and Equipment Management:
- Set up and tear down banquet tables, chairs, and other event furnishings as required.
- Ensure the cleanliness and care of the banquet hall, bar, restrooms, and all equipment before, during, and after events.
Marketing and Sales:
- Promote the venue to potential clients and generate leads for events such as weddings, corporate functions, and large-scale gatherings.
- Work with the marketing team to develop strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
Administrative and Managerial Duties:
- Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while delivering quality experiences.
- Schedule and supervise staff and third-party contractors.
- Maintain detailed records of events, client communications, and budgets.
- Order supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food and beverage or event management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, such as banquet tables and chairs.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and nights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines, and remain calm under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on quickly addressing issues and making decisions during events.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, such as setting up and tearing down event spaces, moving furniture and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness of the venue.
