Hybrid Schedule
4 days a week in the office, Friday work from home
New York Pay Rate $60,000 - $100,000

Responsibilities
- Design Execution: Produce fast, accurate, and on-trend apparel sketches using Adobe Illustrator for a young adult ready-to-wear collection designed for Walmart.
- Project Management: Organize and manage daily tasks to meet critical deadlines, ensuring smooth workflow and timely delivery of projects.
- Trend Research: Conduct in-depth research and present relevant, brand-appropriate trends aligned with vendor capabilities.
- Technical Design: Develop detailed technical packs in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) to communicate design specifications clearly.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with the Design Director to relay accurate information to overseas vendors and address customer feedback effectively.
- Work closely with the graphic design team to align on print and graphic direction for the line.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot sample issues and propose practical solutions to maintain design integrity and production timelines.
- Trend Awareness: Stay updated on market trends through regular trend and competitive shopping.
- Documentation: Maintain organized notes and records to track ongoing projects efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Apparel Design or a related field
- 4 years of full-time professional design experience in cut-and-sew and woven categories
- Experience in young adult/juniors' fashion is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PLM systems
- Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, factories, and vendors
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning and staying ahead of fashion trends
