What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent position at The Golf Club at Cedar Creek?
Assistant Golf Course Superintendent oversee maintenance under the direction of the Golf Course Superintendent. Our ideal candidate has a passion for golf, excellent problem-solving critical thinking skills in combination with strong leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Golf Course maintenance worker
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance and turf management
- Understanding of the use and maintenance of irrigation systems
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Associates in Turfgrass Management or related field preferred
The duties and responsibilities include:
- Assist in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, fairways, and other golf course features
- Direct and assist staff in the operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical and power equipment
- Help in managing the application and recording of chemical applications on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations
- Supervise and participate in the set-up and marking of the golf course for tournaments and routine daily play
- Recruit, supervise and retain maintenance staff
- Assist in educating and training the golf course maintenance staff
- Ensure the safety and health regulations are adhered to and monitor staff compliance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
