Overview
The House Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the facility, ensuring that high standards of care are maintained for all residents, particularly focusing on toddlers. This position requires a compassionate leader who can effectively manage staff, coordinate care services, and implement best practices in patient management. The House Supervisor will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with medical standards and provide a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing and support staff to ensure high-quality care is provided.
- Implement and uphold standards of care in accordance with facility policies and regulations.
- Oversee toddler care, ensuring that developmental needs are met through appropriate activities and interventions.
- Administer injections and perform diagnostic evaluations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including vital signs and specimen collection processing.
- Assist in pain management strategies for residents as needed.
- Conduct regular training sessions for staff on basic life support and emergency procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for residents.
- Monitor compliance with health regulations and safety protocols within the facility.
Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare or childcare setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with systems related to medical documentation and patient care management.
- Experience administering injections and performing diagnostic evaluations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of toddler care practices and developmental milestones is essential.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff, families, and healthcare professionals.
