We seek a highly experienced Commercial Director ready to bring their Amazon expertise and analytical mindset to our team. The ideal candidate for this role will be a growth-focused eCommerce expert with experience leading a team and driving growth through marketplace strategies. This role will lead the Amazon team and accelerate the growth of the North American Amazon retail channel. This individual will lead the growth of the business with a consumer-centric, hands-on approach. This individual will use a data-centric approach that maximizes KPIs, including traffic, conversion, and revenue. With rigor in sales planning, content, customer experience, site merchandising, media, and supply chain, this dynamic leader will partner cross-functionally to deliver on this high-growth business. We are looking for a consumer-focused, hands-on, analytical retail professional who is a skilled communicator with a proven track record of building and developing teams and strategies. This role drives collaboration and influences multiple levels of leadership to execute key deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage our talented North American Amazon team to ensure that each category is closely monitored, listings are optimized, promotions/deals are strategically scheduled, and success KPIs are met. Lead the relationship with Amazon, serving as the key point of contact for negotiations, strategic planning, and other engagements.
  • Implement, execute, and evaluate the launch and growth of Amazon strategies to deliver sustainable business growth. Oversee the team that drives the success of the brands’ Amazon business operations through forecasting, budgeting, P&L accountability, Amazon brand portfolio management, and eCommerce analytics.
  • Develop, measure, and track the KPIs for success across the Amazon organization and its members. This leader should help further a culture obsessed with these success factors and determine the necessary levers to improve the business.
  • Lead team and collaborate with Global Amazon Center of Excellence (COE) to drive digital marketing activities such as Media, SEO, Social, Affiliate Marketing, and Merchandising placements on Amazon.
  • Serve as the region’s Amazon SME and partner with the Global Amazon COE and other cross-functional stakeholders globally to share best practices and solutions to advance and grow our Amazon strategy.
  • Creates trusting/strong relationships with key decision makers and has a deep understanding of customer strategic interests, priorities, and growth opportunities across North America
  • Partner with supply chain and operations team members to ensure key customer metrics are achieved – forecast accuracy, fill rates, quality control, environmental specifications met, etc. When needed, leverage cross-functional teams to address issues.
  • Coordinates and develops across departments to ensure operational and strategic goals are achieved.
  • Create a long-term vision for business to maximize growth for our brands across the North American Amazon marketplace.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of sales experience, preferably in consumer-packaged goods
  • 5 years working in eCommerce roles, with at least 3 in partnership with Amazon, including content, site merchandising and management, customer experience, supply chain, finance, and overall digital strategy, with increasing responsibility over time.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and application – branding, media, analytics, and SEO
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce ecosystem - both technical and business aspects for Vendor Central
  • Track record of success in launching and optimizing eCommerce sales strategies within the North American market
  • Demonstrated strength in communication and influencing skills, written and verbal, and in the engagement of internal and external business partners.
  • Highly collaborative across different stakeholders in a matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency at managing a P&L and achieving sales and strategic goals.
