We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Banquet Servers to join our team and contribute to creating memorable occasions.
Job Summary:
As a Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our guests during events. You will be responsible for setting up banquet spaces, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. This position requires a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Event Setup and Breakdown: Setting up banquet rooms, including but not limited to putting up and arranging tables, chairs, linens, setting table scapes, glassware, flatware, buffet set ups, and decorations according to event specifications. Breakdown and clean up of event space after event concludes including washing and polishing of glassware putting things back in an organized matter. setting up tables for the next event.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner, adhering to established service standards.
- Guest Interaction: Provide friendly and attentive service, addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Beverage Service: Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of serving areas, including bussing tables and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other banquet staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
- Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management of plateware, glassware, and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hospitality experience, preferably in a banquet or catering setting.
- Must be able to travel to off site events as well.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
- Must be able to obtain an Indiana Liquor Server Permit (e.g., ATC server permit) prior to employment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods 10-13 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and all holidays as required.
