Description
As the Camp Mi-Te-Na Kitchen Supervisor, you will oversee kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service. Reporting to the Camp Operations Director and working closely to support the Camp Chefs, you will lead six other kitchen staff members in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Your relevant expertise in food service, food handling, and kitchen operations will enhance our culinary offerings, making each meal perfect for our Campers & Staff. This role's responsibilities include aiding in food prep, cleaning, and sanitization; And more specifically, teaching the other Kitchen Staff to be part of a successful team. You would be responsible for supervising the staff in their daily tasks, keeping a clean environment, and coaching the staff to bring out the best potential in each of them. The employee can live on-site (or choose to commute) for 9-weeks beginning June 15th and ending August 16th, 2025.
The pay begins at $400 per week depending on experience.
Room and board are included in the compensation package.
Additionally, staff children / grandchildren / youth dependents are eligible to receive free camp at either Mi-Te-Na or our sister camp, Camp Foss.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and food industry skills
- Experience in fine dining and banquet settings
- Proficient in food preparation and handling
- Background in catering and food service
- Knowledge of dietary aide practices
