We are looking for an exceptional Swim Instructor Leader to join our team at The Granite YMCA. As a Full-Time Head Lifeguard/Swim Instructor, you will play a vital role in leading our staff teams and ensuring the safety of our members in all pool areas.
About the Role:
This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 2 years of lifeguarding and/or teaching experience. You must also hold a current Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard certification. The schedule is dependent upon candidate availability and department needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Aquatics staff in the absence of the Aquatics Director or Coordinator.
- Provide administrative support on a weekly basis.
- Understand and respond to emergency situations in the pool area.
- Maintain effective relationships with members, participants, and team members.
- Apply safety rules, policies, and guidelines for the pool area.
- Maintain accurate pool records as required by the YMCA and state/local Health Department code.
- Perform equipment checks and ensure necessary equipment is available.
