Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, and making recommendations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register or Aloha POS system.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations, including checking IDs for age verification.
- Monitor inventory levels of drinks and supplies, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in the preparation of food items as needed, following proper food handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
Skills
- Proven experience in bartending or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus; proficiency in cash register operations is required.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating drink recipes accurately.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- A strong sense of hospitality and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
- Sales skills to promote special offers or upsell menu items when appropriate.
