We are seeking a Green Mountain Conservation Assistant to join our team at the Green Mountain Club. As a key member of our conservation efforts, you will be responsible for maintaining 5-10 miles of trail and overnight sites, ensuring that these areas remain pristine and protected.
Responsibilities:
- Briefly overview the duties involved in maintaining trails, shelters, and privies.
- Educate campers on minimal impact camping practices during your nightly presence at either Taft Lodge or Butler Lodge.
- Provide direction and recommendations to visitors, sharing knowledge about current conditions and opportunities.
This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively, an understanding of complex trail systems, and experience working in remote settings.
