Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at The Green Recruitment Company. This role will be responsible for overseeing the occupational safety and health performance of assigned locations.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years of health & safety experience, with expertise in electrical safety preferred. They will be able to evaluate risk and apply hazard control measures, investigate injuries and develop RCA reports with sound corrective actions.
This full-time office-based position will support our PV/BESS operations, requiring regular day or multi-day trips to facilities in Hinkley, CA and other states. The individual will be required to take trips to San Diego, Valley Center, Beaumont, Santa Clarita, Texas, Nevada, and New York.
Key Responsibilities
- Drives EHS policy, a positive culture and annual goals and objectives within the assigned site locations.
- Effectively communicates and implements safety procedures and programs to drive results.
- Maintains a working knowledge of HSE-related regulatory requirements and expertise in electrical safety, LOTO and fall protection.
- Delivers trainings (e.g. orientation, Allhands) for assigned locations in alignment with a goal of zero injuries and assumes personal responsibility for safe work practices in all operations.
- Supports Operations with the administration of qualification programs.
- Conducts frequent facilities inspections and completes detailed written reports and documented closure of open items.
