Job Description:
This role is responsible for overseeing the occupational safety and health performance for assigned locations, working with local management to implement and monitor all safety policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable and enjoy the outdoors, as regular internal facility inspections are required. This position also involves supporting the Operations teams while ensuring duties back in the office are completed on time and documented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive EHS policy, a positive culture, and annual goals and objectives within assigned site locations.
- Effectively communicate and implement safety procedures and programs to drive results.
- Maintain a working knowledge of HSE-related regulatory requirements and expertise in electrical safety, LOTO, and fall protection.
- Deliver trainings (e.g., orientation, Allhands) for assigned locations in alignment with a goal of zero injuries.
Requirements:
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, self-starter.
- Solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgement.
- Knowledge and applied experience in planning for, and performing and participating in safety inspections and/or audits.
- Able to accurately compile and submit reports.
