Summary
The IT Asset and Configuration Coordinator is responsible for managing and maintaining IT assets, configuration data, and change management processes within ServiceNow. This role ensures accuracy in hardware and software asset management while also supporting code deployments using Azure DevOps. The ideal candidate will have experience with ITSM processes, asset lifecycle management, and software deployment best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned to address business needs and changing business practices.
Asset and Configuration Management (ServiceNow)
- Oversee and maintain the ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database) to ensure accurate tracking of IT assets and configurations.
- Manage the end-to-end Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM) lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, tracking, and disposal.
- Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and software usage policies.
- Regularly audit asset data for accuracy and address discrepancies.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to IT asset and configuration management.
Change Management (ServiceNow)
- Own and manage the IT Change Management process in ServiceNow, ensuring changes are documented, reviewed, approved, and communicated effectively.
- Track the implementation of changes.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices for minimizing risks associated with IT changes.
- Monitor and report on key change management metrics.
Code Deployment (Azure DevOps)
- Support software and configuration deployments using Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Assist in automating deployment workflows to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, including CMDB, Change Management, and Asset Management modules.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline management and code deployment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL principles and best practices.
- Experience managing hardware and software asset lifecycles.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports on asset inventory, software compliance, and change management activities.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., ServiceNow ITSM, CMDB, or HAM/SAM Certified Implementation Specialist).
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification.
- Experience in scripting or automation related to asset management or deployment.
- Understanding of software licensing and compliance requirements.
