Are you a hardworking individual with a commitment to quality and safety? We’re looking for a Maintenance Laborer to join our team! If you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in creating beautiful, well-maintained landscapes, this is the job for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of landscaping and groundskeeping tasks, including mowing, trimming, planting, and sod laying
- Maintain irrigation systems, apply fertilizers and chemicals, and manage storm cleanup and street cleaning
- Operate various power tools and equipment like mowers, edgers, and chainsaws
- Work in all weather conditions, ensuring high-priority areas are kept clean and free of debris
- Follow safety protocols, maintaining a clean and hazard-free job site at all times
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Mow and trim lawns using hand or power mowers
- Trim shrubs and improve gardens
- Clean grounds using rakes, hoses, and other tools
- Operate landscaping tools or heavy equipment as needed
- Adhere to company safety policies, ensuring the safety of the public and co-workers
Education & Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent desired
- Previous experience in outside construction, landscaping, or a similar field
- Experience operating a locator, wiring and re-wiring irrigation clocks, and programming decoders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must
Physical Requirements:
- Full range of mobility in the upper and lower body
- Ability to reach overhead, stoop, stand, bend, sit, kneel, and squat for extended periods
- Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday
