YOUR ROLE:
- Sales Expertise: Leverage your sales experience to expand our reach in the swimming pool and spa, construction, and backyard leisure industries.
- Client Success: Be a problem solver, a creative thinker, and a valued partner to clients and colleagues alike. You must be an Olympic qualifier in the game of Following Up.
- Detail-Oriented: Track and manage sales calls through our required system; paying attention to the small details that matter to our partners and your customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Travel 3-4 days of the week, with occasional over nights, in order to make sales calls on new and existing dealers and distributors.
- Educate the dealers/distributors on the value of the lines you represent or find ways to solve their problems with our presented products.
- Solve problems, address concerns, and mend and bridges between manufacturers and the dealers/distributors.
- Track all sales visits and calls via our internal system, including important personal details like Mr. Smith's daughter's basketball team is doing well. These matter.
- Prospect leads
- Must be an Olympic qualifier in the game of Following Up.
- Attend team meetings and trainings, regional shows and tabletops
- Assist with manning manufacturers booths at regional shows
- Find ways to Empower the Potential of the lines you represent
- Strive to be nominated for Sales Person of the Year
QUALIFICATIONS:
- MUST BE AN EXISTING SWIMMING POOL AND SPA INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL
- Industry Experience: Substantial experience in the swimming pool and spa industry. Familiarity with industry trends, key players, and client needs in your specific regions.
- Sales Expertise: Proven track record in sales, preferably outside sales within the same or a related industry. Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Travel Capability: Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region. This will include day trips as well as overnight trips.
- Professional Network: Have a strong existing network within the industry.
- Technical Knowledge: While not mandatory, technical knowledge of swimming pool and spa products would be a significant advantage.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders. This includes both verbal and written communication, negotiation, and follow up skills.
- Relationship Building: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies, identify new market opportunities, and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Self-Motivation and Drive: Demonstrated self-motivation with a relentless drive for excellence. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
