We are seeking a full-time highly motivated, and detail-oriented litigation paralegal to join the law firm. As a litigation paralegal, you will provide crucial support to our attorneys and clients, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, and be capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Assist in management of litigation cases from inception through trial or settlement
- Maintain and organize case files, pleadings, discovery materials, and correspondence.
- Track court deadlines and ensure timely filing of documents.
- Coordinate with attorneys and clients regarding case status and next steps.
- Conduct legal research using legal research applications and tools.
- Summarize case law, statues, and regulations relevant to litigation matters.
- Prepare research memos and provide analysis to support attorneys’ case strategies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery requests/responses.
- Assist with the drafting of correspondence, reports, and legal memoranda.
- Proofread and edit legal documents for accuracy and compliance with court rules.
- Assist in managing the discovery process, including collecting, reviewing, and organizing documents.
- Prepare and index exhibits for depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses regarding deposition and trial preparation.
- Support attorneys during trial, including handling exhibits, organizing documents, and providing on-site or virtual assistance.
- Assist with electronic filing in federal and state courts.
- Manage and maintain document databases and trail presentation software.
- Coordinate scheduling of depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
- Liaise with court personnel, opposing counsel, and clients.
- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, time entry and expense tracking.
