Job Summary
The Guilford House is a seventy- five bed skilled nursing facility and twenty- one apartment assisted living. We are seeking a controller to manage the financial operations and ensure compliance with CMS, DPH, and accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the senior living industry with a strong understanding of financial management including payroll- based journalling and cost report analysis.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
- Ensure compliance with CMS and DPH guidelines.
- Manage the general ledger accounting process, including account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for management review.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Utilize QuickBooks for efficient accounting processes and reporting.
Skills
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with a focus on GAAP principles.
- Proficient in budgeting and financial forecasting techniques.
- Experience with QuickBooks and Point Click Care is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts related to general ledger accounting and cash management.
- Excellent skills in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation processes.
