Our grand opening is planned around Memorial Day, and we’re looking for passionate individuals to help us bring our vision to life. With a focus on ethically sourced ingredients, vintage gypsy vibes, and welcoming spaces, we aim to provide an unforgettable experience to locals and traveling adventurers alike!
Job Description: We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic baristas for both full-time and part-time positions. In addition to crafting delicious beverages and providing exceptional customer service, there will be some cooking involved as we create a well-rounded café experience. If you have a flair for creativity and a love for coffee, this could be the perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and snacks with precision and care.
- Assist with cooking and food preparation as part of café operations.
- Provide outstanding friendly customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their orders.
- Operate the POS system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including equipment, countertops, and customer areas.
- Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to management.
- Engage with customers to promote new products and upsell items effectively.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers.
- Assist in educating customers about our menu and sourcing philosophy.
- Work collaboratively with team members to uphold the café’s values.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills are essential for handling cash transactions and providing accurate change.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Familiarity with food handling practices is a plus.
- Experience using POS systems, particularly Square POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
