Job Title: Concrete Paving Laborer

Description:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Paving Laborer to join our team in the heavy civil and highway construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of concrete materials, workability, finishing, and curing, as well as experience with formwork and doweling systems.

Responsibilities:

• Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Takes directions well
• Reasonable knowledge of concrete materials, workability, finishing, and curing
• Reasonable knowledge of concrete paving formwork and doweling systems and assembly
• Influences and enforces company values, recognizing misalignments and rectifying them
• Performs all other duties of crew members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem-solving ability
• Ability to travel for projects
• Ability to fit test and utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications

Work Environment:

• Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and high, precarious places
• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles
• Noise level is usually moderate
