About the Role:
The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Construction Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Structures Division, you will be responsible for driving pilings for retaining walls, bulkheads, and foundations of structures. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and safety protocols will ensure efficient execution of projects throughout Northeast PA and the Lehigh Valley.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
- Drive pilings for various construction projects
- Collaborate with Pile Driving Foreman on job specifications
- Interpret load charts and hand signals
- Conduct daily inspections on equipment and report malfunctions
- Participate in other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- Related experience and/or training in heavy civil construction or a related field
- Working knowledge of safety protocols and crane setup plans
- Experience operating rigging equipment and interpreting blueprints
- Ability to operate surveying instruments and read job-related documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to travel as required for projects
