About the Role:
">The H&K Group, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Agent to process and coordinate activities in purchasing and distributing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies within the organization.
">Key Responsibilities:

- Perform all work according to OSHA/MSHA and H&K Safety policies ">
- Receive purchase orders from the field ">
- Locate and purchase materials and parts for quarries and asphalt plants ">
- Obtain multiple quotes before ordering to ensure best prices for purchases ">
- Provide quality customer service when interacting with vendors, clients, and customers - both internal and external ">
- Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and verifies material arrives at location on time ">
- Track purchases, costs, prices, and inventory utilizing Eclipse software ">
- Other duties as assigned ">
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university OR high school diploma or equivalent (such as a GED) from an accredited educational institution with one year of relevant training or experience ">
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and specialized purchasing/procurement software programs/platforms ">
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills ">
- Demonstrated business acumen, analytical skills, mathematical skills, and cost consciousness ">
- Demonstrated customer service and teamwork skills ">
- Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed ">
- Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job) ">
