Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Physicians. The ideal candidate will be crucial in delivering high-quality, culturally competent, comprehensive, quality care and will work in an integrated environment that promotes access to care without work overload, fostering a team-spirited working environment.
- Requires educating patients on preventive care strategies.
- Meticulously documenting patients’ medical histories and treatments, performing medical triage, and effectively stabilizing emergencies to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care before hospitalization.
- Responsible for ordering and meticulously interpreting diagnostic tests, diligently following up on patients to monitor their progress, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- When deemed appropriate, facilitate patient referrals to specialists or other physicians to ensure they receive the most suitable and specialized care for their medical needs.
Qualifications
- Medical degree and board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Active NYS medical license or ability to attain one
- DEA registration
- Experience in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing quality patient care and continuous learning
- Ability to work one evening per week, Fridays, and two weekends per month
