The VP of Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the supply chain operations within a restaurant group. This role requires a deep understanding of culinary processes and food safety standards, ensuring the seamless integration of supply chain activities with culinary operations to maintain high-quality standards and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the restaurant group's business goals and culinary standards.
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure consistent quality and timely delivery of ingredients and materials.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management to ensure optimal stock levels, reduce waste, and maintain food safety standards.
  • Logistics Management: Manage the logistics of food and material distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to all restaurant locations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control supply chain costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations and standards.
  • Technology Integration: Implement and manage supply chain technologies to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Menu Development Support: Collaborate with culinary teams to support menu development and ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and implement sustainable sourcing practices to support the restaurant group's environmental goals.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A culinary degree or background is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 10 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the restaurant or food industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in supply chain software and technologies.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as APICS, CSCMP, or ISM are a plus.
