Reports to Clinical Director.
The Senior Board Certified Behavior Analyst completes relevant evaluations and uses the results to develop, supervise, and monitor the provision of social skills instruction rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis across a variety of settings, including but not limited to center-based, telehealth, school-based services, community-based, and in-home services.
Clientele include individuals ages birth to young adulthood who would benefit from evidence-based social skills instruction.
Education/Experience: Master’s degree required. 2 years’ experience BCBA and supervisory experience required. Experience working with varied ages and abilities preferred.
License/Certification: Current BCBA Certification and Behavior Analyst Licensure in the State of Connecticut required. BACB Supervision credential required.
Position Responsibilities:
● Complete intake process for new clients
● Complete behavior analytic evaluations, including but not limited to, social skills evaluations, Functional Behavior Assessments, and other skill-based assessments.
● Develop Behavior Intervention Plans as needed.
● Develop developmentally-appropriate “best fit” social skills groupings based upon the results of assessments.
● Use the results of evaluations to develop social skills programming rooted in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
● Train staff to implement programming and provide ongoing supervision.
● Provide direct behavior analytic services to high-needs clients.
● Establish and maintain professional and ethical working relationships with staff. Embrace a positive, teamwork oriented attitude.
● Participate in the peer-review process with BCBA colleagues. Be open to feedback and continued learning.
● Provide RBT, BCaBA, and BCBA supervision.
● Review clients’ progress on a regular basis and make data-based decisions to accelerate client outcomes.
● Complete case management duties.
● Develop and supervise parent trainings; Interact professionally with families/caregivers by establishing effective clinical and ethical relationships and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
● Write and present reports to families and other providers.
● Complete discharge procedures.
● Complete scheduling and billing duties.
● Coordinate with and make referrals to other care providers as needed (e.g. pediatricians, school staff, etc.)
● Strictly adhere to the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s Professional and Ethical Compliance Code, Supervision Guidelines, organization policies and procedures, and relevant Federal, State, Local Regulations.
● Complete trainings as required by the organization and perform in accordance with these trainings (e.g. restraint/seclusion, First Aid/CPR, mandated reporting).
● Provide in-service training.
● Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations).
● Supervise special events.
● Perform duties required for seamless functioning of the center, including but not limited to opening/closing procedures, material preparation, etc.
● Assures safety and welfare of all individuals
Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
