What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer position at The Happy Camp3r?

Happy Camp3r is a fast-growing lifestyle and apparel brand rooted in mental health awareness and community. We create clothing that feels good inside and out — combining cozy, quality pieces with a mission that matters. As we expand our product line, we're looking for a Designer to help bring our next big ideas to life. You’ll be involved in every step of the design process — from concept to final product — and will play a key role in helping shape future collections.
Responsibilities:
- Source and pull fabric and trim samples from vendors and local suppliers
- Create detailed mood boards and initial design concepts for upcoming drops
- Develop mockups and CADs for internal use and production
- Build tech packs and detailed spec sheets for factories
- Collaborate with production on fabric testing, sample revisions, and timelines
- Ensure all designs align with Happy Camp3r’s brand voice and mission
- Stay on top of trends, while also bringing fresh, original ideas to the table
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in fashion or apparel design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator and Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and fabrics
- Experience creating tech packs and specs for production
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A go-getter mindset
