The BSA Officer is charged with the responsibility of monitoring the day-to-day aspects of the BSA Compliance Program to ensure that the Bank is in compliance with all material aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) laws, rules and regulations.

• Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
• Retrieve and review “subject information” as the report comes available from the FinCen System 314(a).
• Review the monthly OFAC Reporting Module to detect any possible banking activity with Specially Designated Nationals.
• Review CIP forms for proper completion, and assist with training bank employees on completing CIP forms, as well as identifying and reporting suspicious activity.
• Review Funds Transfer Logs on a monthly basis for possible money laundering activity.
• Support operating units and branch locations by responding to questions regarding anti-money laundering.
• Initiate annual companywide risk assessment for the Bank, and manage the outcome accordingly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Skills and Abilities Required:
• Ability to identify potential violations of established bank policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail.
• Must exercise sound judgment and observe the highest degree of confidentiality in the handling of information received in the course of discharging responsibilities.
• Comply with all federal and state regulations and rules impacting this position, meet all risk and compliance obligations, including the completion of required training.
• Ability to multi task while working independently or in a team, skills in analyzing figures, strong interpersonal skills, business writing skills, knowledge of general banking principles, PC proficiency.
• Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or related field is needed. Minimum one (1) year commercial banking experience preferred .
