What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk - Innkeeper position at The Harpswell Inn?
The Harpswell Inn is owned and run by a family looking for help several days a week with running our front desk and guest check in. You will serve as the primary point of contact for arriving guests, creating a positive first impression through professional and welcoming service. Hours are 2.30PM - ~8.30PM for 4-5 days per week. At least one day must be a weekend day. Flexible time off and opportunity to take on more hours and responsibilities. Looking for help May 20 through October 31st, and if interested, in the years going forward as well!
Primary responsibilities include:
- Process guest check-ins efficiently and accurately
- Welcome guests and provide orientation to the property
- Handle guest inquiries in person and by phone
- Process payments and manage reservations
- Provide local information and recommendations to guests
- Assist with special requests and room arrangements
- Maintain lobby appearance and organization
- Handle basic administrative tasks
- Coordinate with housekeeping regarding room readiness
- Manage guest messages and package deliveries
