Brief Description
The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD (“The HARRIS CENTER”) is looking for a Pharmacy Business Supervisor to join our team! Assists the Sr. Director of Pharmacy Programs in the management of the business operations of the pharmacy and pharmacy programs, including Class A and Class C pharmacies. Assists with budgeting and the preparation of financial reports as requested. Performs various clerical, billing and technical duties necessary to support the operation of pharmacies. Possesses a thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment as it relates to health care reimbursement and compliance, and contract management. Constructively and positively challenges the processes, people and technology to drive continued performance improvement of the pharmacy operations and Agency. Also provides supervision of pharmacy revenue and operation staff. Works in collaboration with other Divisions and support departments within the Agency to achieve pharmacy goals and objectives. This position requires in-county travel.

Your Role In Action
- General Administrative Duties
- Prepare and follow up on action items from pharmacy staff meetings
- Maintain all Intranet documents, procedures and instructions for pharmacy staff
- Drug and Vendor Contracting
- Manages the contracted pharmacy programs, including appropriate regular auditing
- Researches and maintains 3rd party insurance contracts
- Oversees pharmaceutical drug manufacture rebate assessment and processing
- Supply chain, auditing, revenue and accounting
- Ensures compliance with charity programs and insurance requirements of qualified patients, drugs, providers, vendors, and locations
- Ensures full compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements
- Designs and maintains an internal audit plan of compliance for the pharmacy department
- Ensures timely and accurate billing of all pharmacy charges and reimbursement activities
- Ensures appropriate cash handling procedures, security of receipts and integrity of financial reports
- Maintains an efficient and cost-effective ordering system
- Directs activities of pharmacy staff involved in purchasing, receiving, and billing
- Analytics
- Submits periodic reports/action plans as requested detailing critical issues and/or accomplishments of pharmacy.
- Monitoring and reporting of pharmacy productivity and performance to ensure continuous patient satisfaction, staff engagement and quality care.
- Coordinates and participates in prescription inventory and reporting
Education
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- MBA, BS in Healthcare Management preferred.
- Pharmacy Operations and/or Pharmacy Technician licensure preferred.
- At least 3 years of relevant business and/or healthcare finance experience (including supervisory experience preferred)
- Must have experience working collaboratively with other professional groups in preparing and analyzing reports and making recommendations for operational and administrative purposes
- Ability to manage multiple tasks & responsibilities concurrently, as well as meeting deadlines while documenting work flows clearly & precisely.
- Good computer skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to perform and comprehend mathematical functions and demonstrate basic literacy
- Ability to work with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
