Overview:
We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to organize and manage the assigned staff's workflow for a busy material manufacturing company. The successful candidate will ensure timely and high-quality customer service, handle daily scheduling and dispatching of deliveries, invoicing and processing customer inquiries.
What you’ll do:
This role is mainly at a computer or desk in a seated position for extended periods of time. Occasionally, travel locally is required for bid delivery. Occasional need to lift / move up to 15 lbs. This role is 100% in-office without opportunity for hybrid or remote work.
Schedule:
This is a year-round full-time position with seasonal scheduling as follows:
Spring: Monday - Friday 6:45AM -4PM with a rotating Saturday
Summer, Fall, Winter: Monday - Friday from 8AM-5PM
Occasional early morning, late afternoon or Saturday availability required as business demands.

We are looking for a Materials Coordinator to organize and manage the assigned staff's workflow for a busy material manufacturing company. The successful candidate will ensure timely and high-quality customer service, handle daily scheduling and dispatching of deliveries, invoicing and processing customer inquiries.
What you’ll do:
- Manage office operations relating to material yard reporting directly to Superintendent of Materials
- Schedule and assist dispatch personnel based on customer requests and job specifications
- Maintain records and track changes of all customer data, job and personnel costs, project status, equipment utilization, etc
- Coordinate trucking such as live floor deliveries
- Handle all dispatch orders to satellite yards
- Schedule deliveries of inventory replenishments
- Process contractor and wholesale orders
- Develop creative solutions to complex customer requests and maximize customer satisfaction
- Handle customer inquiries in an efficient, timely and customer-focused manner
- Provide customer feedback and updates on project status
- Cross sell materials and educate customers on different materials as needed
- Ensure excellent customer service and professional integrity when dealing with customer
- Manage incoming calls
- Handle payments from customers
- Handle customer service complaints from start to finish
- Oversee administrative and trucking material employees
- Any task or project needed as business demands
- Experience in a high-paced professional office atmosphere
- Supervisory / management experience
- General knowledge of the construction industry, preferred
- Possess excellent communication skills in verbal and written formats
- Well-rounded in Google Suite, Quick Books and HubSpot
- Must be proactive, and solutions driven
