The Haven Therapy Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. The Haven (Haven Healing, PLLC) is a team of helping professionals focused on healing trauma, betrayal, addiction and relationships. Description:
As part of our team, the Clinical Therapist will provide outpatient services to individuals, couples, families and/or groups within our niche populations. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing evidence-based therapy approved by the The Haven treatment model as described in The Haven’s Clinical Training Manual to all clients. The Clinical Therapist is required to practice within appropriate skill level and gain supervision as needed for support to stay within their scope of practice.
Full-Time Clinical Therapist Duties/Responsibilities:
- Register for an approved training (CSAT, CPTT, EMDR, CST, EFT, etc.) before start date and attend training within 3 months of start date
- Maintain licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Addiction Specialist, or -Associate
- Complete 20 billable hours of direct clinical care to clients per week in the form of therapy sessions, groups, workshops and/or intensives
- Conduct HIPAA-compliant therapy sessions, treatment plans, documentation, and case management for all assigned clients
- Respond to client and community partner communications within 2 business days
- Maintain appropriate client boundaries
- Contribute to programs (groups, workshops) including planning programs, writing curriculum, facilitating programs and collecting client feedback
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff
- Track and maintain your own performance metrics
- Contribute 2-5 administrative hours per week to team meetings, marketing efforts, practice development or other administrative projects as described in the Policy and Procedures Manual
- Actively participate in weekly team meetings and case consultations
- Actively participate in CEU trainings and trainings provided by The Haven
- Provide occasional back-up for clinicians who are taking time off
- Regular and reliable attendance and timeliness are required
- Abide by and conduct self in a manner as outlined and agreed upon in the Policy and Procedures Manual
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in therapy, counseling or social work; and
- Active license or provisional license with no history complaints filed (LMFT, LMFTA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LCAS, LCASA) in the State of North Carolina
- Flexible hours starting out with the goal to work up to full time (20 billable hours per week) of work
- Vested interest in expanding knowledge and training in trauma and family systems
Other Qualification Preferences:
- Prior experience working with trauma, addiction, and/or couples
- Current advanced credential as a CSAT, CPTT, CST, EMDR, EFT therapist or related certification
Hours:
The Clinical Therapist’s weekly schedule will be mutually agreed upon with the Direct Supervisor upon hire and commitment to a recurring weekly schedule is expected. This agreed upon schedule takes the needs of the clients, practice, clinician, and office availability into consideration. Full time clinicians will provide availability for 25 hours to ensure 20 hours of direct care are completed weekly. The Clinical Therapist is responsible for ethically overseeing treatment plans and ensuring that their caseload meets the requirement for 20 billable hours per week. Agreed upon hours include 10-20 hours of in-office availability and 5-15 hours of availability to work from home via telehealth. The clinician’s schedule will include some evenings and/or weekends. The Clinical Therapist is not guaranteed a minimum number of client referrals per week, and it is the Clinical Therapist’s responsibility to retain assigned clients, schedule recurring sessions, and meet productivity metrics.
