Sr. Quality Manager

This company, a leading Tier 1 supplier, is looking for a Sr. Quality Manager for their thriving production facility. They’re already operating well and need someone who can take it to the next level. In this position, you’d manage the daily operations of the 400 person Quality department.

Position Description
Working with the General Manager, you’ll lead all quality efforts (supplier, production, warranty, and customer), making sure the team meets all objectives. You’ll develop current and long range objectives, plans, establish policies, and direct resources. You’ll then monitor the group’s performance against those plans, making sure objectives are met. You’ll also be responsible for the development of team members.
Other responsibilities include:
- Championing both continuous improvement efforts and new/existing quality assurance processes.
- Work directly with customers to make sure their issues are championed to achieve fast, accurate issue resolution.
- Assure quality systems meet or exceed IATF 16949 standards, along with ensuring second and third party system audits are conducted
- Plan, support, and implement total quality programs.
- Design, specify, and install quality control sampling systems, testing mechanisms, and equipment.
- Monitor and control costs, timing, and other related aspects of projects.
- Investigate and solve manufacturing-related problems using formal problem-solving tools.
- Analyze and develop suppliers’ products for maximum productivity, review performance in operation, and provide suggestions for improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering with 10 years of experience in automotive quality management, including financial/budget responsibility, management leadership, and strategic decision making/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a Tier 1 automotive company is a must.
- Background in safety-critical automotive components.
- A thorough knowledge/understanding of advanced quality engineering practices, principles, and processes.
Compensation:
$140,000-170,000/year with bonus (15-20%).
H1B sponsorship is not available, though TN sponsorship is an option.
This is a direct-hire position, with a full benefit package.
