Physical Therapist - PT
A physical therapist's primary responsibility is to oversee the care of patients/residents, ensuring the quality of related outcomes. As an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, they manage resources to meet patient/resident needs while balancing cost-effective and efficient treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting directly to the Director of Rehabilitation or designee at the facility where therapy services are provided.
- Supervising clinically all assistants and aides in delivering services according to established plans of care, adhering to state and federal guidelines.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy, or a master's degree in speech-language pathology.
- Educational standards must be met as defined by the state licensing board for foreign-trained therapists.
- Preferably experience managing rehabilitation personnel, working in long-term care facilities, and overseeing costs and productivity.
- Familiarity with governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
Certification/Licensure:
- Active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, Physical or Occupational Therapist, or related healthcare profession in assigned state(s) of employment.
