Come work for The Hearing Guy! We are a small family business seeking a dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist to support our team in providing high-quality patient care. Preferred applicant will have an interest in assisting patients improve their quality of life with improved hearing. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat work attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform hearing tests, interpret results, and recommend appropriate hearing solutions.
- Perform hearing aid fitting and dispense hearing aids based on individual needs.
- Educate patients on hearing health and proper care and maintenance of hearing aids.
- Perform hearing aid repairs and cleanings
- Take ear impressions for custom hearing aids or custom earmolds.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document progress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Prior experience in a medical office or customer service is preferred by not required.
Prior medical sales experience is preferred by not required.
Bachelor's degree preferred
NC Hearing Instrument Specialist license or desire to be a candidate
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
- Listening Skills: Active listening skills to understand patient needs and concerns.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with hearing aid technology, testing equipment, and repair procedures.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot hearing aid problems and find solutions.
- Patient Interaction Skills: Ability to build rapport with patients and create a comfortable and supportive environment.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in using electronic medical records and other software.
