Evangelism and Discipleship Summer Resident description
The Evangelism & Discipleship Summer Resident position is crafted to give seasonal support to the Evangelism and Discipleship Pastor in the ministerial and administrative needs for the ministry. This includes helping support and effectively carry out needs of the minister, the ministry, and any of its branches. The key to this position is to be effective, efficient, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks at once. This position helps curate and develop Discipleship Group content and training material, Alpha and other evangelism trainings, as well as resources and systems for Baptism celebrations.

Responsibilities
Champion the Discipleship Movement at the Heights
- Is personally participating in a discipling relationship over the course of the summer.
- Fully understand and embrace the Heights discipleship process and associated timelines and objectives.
- Regularly advocate for disciple making (DM) opportunities to be integrated into Church activities.
- Coordinate the work of the DM Ministry with other church activities throughout the summer.
Partner with DM Pastor to Develop Discipleship Material for Next Gen and Adult Ministries
- Research, develop and curate a library of Discipleship Material that is aligned with The Heights Church’s theological and doctrinal beliefs as well as our Discipleship Model.
- Provide feedback and edit The Heights Church original content.
- Work in a collaborative and feedback rich creative environment to produce excellent content for all different demographic sectors of the church body.
Partner with DM Pastor to Develop Flexible Evangelism Material for Adult E-Groups
- Research, develop and curate a library of Evangelism Resources that is aligned with The Heights Church’s theological and doctrinal beliefs as well as our Evangelism model.
- Provide feedback and edit The Heights Church original content for Evangelism.
- Work in a collaborative and feedback rich creative environment to produce excellent content for all different demographic sectors of the church body.
Assist in organization and attend events for the DM Ministry as needed
- Assist in the development and execution of over eight annual events.
- Communicate with necessary parties about event expectations.
- Assist in the vision and execution of design and décor for the event.
Ensure Accurate, Timely Response to Communication Requests (Phone or Email)
- Manage email, voicemail, and communication requests in a timely, thorough manner not to exceed 1 week
- Build trust by maintaining confidence of information

RELATIONSHIPS
Disciple Making Pastor Pastor: The Disciple Making Pastor oversees the Evangelism and Discipleship Resident. He/she will ensure key drivers of the Resident are met. He/she is expected to coach, be available, and lead this staff member as the Resident strives for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth and unity.
The Heights Staff: The Evangelism and Discipleship Resident collaborates with other members of The Heights and Groups staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
