What are the responsibilities and job description for the Missions Summer Resident position at The Heights Church?
MISSIONS SUMMER RESIDENT
Under the direction of the Missions Minister, the missions summer resident will work with the missions’ team to execute our summer missions’ activities/events, such as VBS (Vacation Bible School for children) and Serve Dallas (Local Missions Trip for students). As well as other on-going missions’ programs. Residency runs from May 20th thru August 10th.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the planning and logistics of our missional activities for VBS
Support the planning and logistics of our missional activities for Serve Dallas
Attend Weekly Staff and Missions Ministry Team Meeting
· Attend department and all-staff meetings
Serve as a Fantastic Teammate to Peers on the Staff Team
· Demonstrate loyalty to Ministers and teammates in action and word
· Pursue and uphold relational unity with teammates
· Make assists for teammates to facilitate department-wide wins
· Place the team agenda before your own agenda

Specific tasks for summer missions’ projects will be given on the start date. These tasks would be specific to carry out our summer missions’ events.

RELATIONSHIPS
Missions’ Team: The Missions Summer Resident will be coachable, available, and responsive to team members while striving for a healthy, Christ-like relationship characterized by love, truth, and unity.
Kids Ministry Team: The Missions Summer Resident collaborates with Children's Ministry for events such as VBS, called The Best Week Ever here at The Heights.
Student Ministry Team: The Missions Summer Resident collaborates with Student Ministry to provide missional opportunities such as Serve Dallas.
The Heights Staff and other Summer Residents: The Missions Summer Resident collaborates with other members of The Heights staff, serves as a resource and encouragement to them, and partners with them effectively to achieve maximum kingdom impact.
Volunteer Teams: The Missions Summer Resident embodies and exhibits servant leadership in all interactions with volunteer team members, envisioning, equipping, and empowering them to make the greatest kingdom impact possible.
