CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER STAFF

QUALIFICATIONS
- The teacher must hold a High School Diploma or GED Certification
- The teacher must have a strong understanding of childhood development
- The teacher must display a vibrant pursuit and relationship with Jesus Christ
- The teacher must agree and adhere to The Heights Church Statement of Faith
RESPONSIBILITIES
Classroom & Enrichment Teacher:
- The teacher shall adhere to all weekday education teacher policies and to the state licensing requirements of the state of Texas including but not limited to annual 24 clock hours of training and CPR/First Air certification.
- The teacher shall attend all required staff meetings throughout the school year as well as mandatory training in August. Not attending these trainings may result in the teacher's pay being docked for missed trainings.
- The teacher shall plan and implement lessons using a school-wide curriculum.
- The teacher will manage day-to-day classroom activities, including lessons, free play, bathroom breaks, lunch time and rest time for students.
- The teacher will develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents.
- The teacher is responsible for maintaining and implementing effective classroom management techniques.
- The teacher is responsible for encouraging, observing, facilitating, and assessing students.
- The teacher shall model behaviors and attitudes that are congruent with the Statement of Faith of The Heights Church.
- The teacher will adhere to The Heights Church employee policies as defined in the employee handbook and The Heights CDC staff handbook.
- The teacher is responsible for knowing the sign of child abuse and reporting any suspected child abuse.
Floater & Substitute Teacher:
- The teacher shall adhere to all weekday education teacher policies and to the state licensing requirements of the state of Texas including but not limited to annual 24 clock hours of training and CPR/First Air certification.
- The teacher shall attend all required staff meetings throughout the school year as well as mandatory training in August. Not attending these trainings may result in the teacher's pay being docked for missed trainings.
- The teacher will implement planned lessons and manage classroom activities when stepping into each classroom.
- The teacher will develop and maintain a constructive and ongoing rapport with children and parents.
- The teacher shall model behaviors and attitudes that are congruent with the Statement of Faith of The Heights Church.
- The teacher will adhere to The Heights Church employee policies as defined in the employee handbook and The Heights CDC staff handbook.
- The teacher is responsible for knowing the signs of child abuse and reporting any suspected child abuse.
