Here, you'll find not just a job, but an opportunity to grow your career in a deeply rewarding environment!Come be part of a team that inspires, mentors and changes students’ lives because everyone deserves a great future.Position Details : Full-TimeLocation : Sherman OaksKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development of social and recreational program policies and proceduresAssess the needs of the community and work with the program director to develop new programs to address these needsResponsible for social and recreational program development and ensuring program quality and compliance, including program activities and content, implementation, staffing, equipment, supplies and resourcesEnsure that necessary documentation or reports are completed in a timely, accurate mannerImplement methods for social and recreational program evaluationRecruit, train, and provide oversight and supervision of social and recreational program staff and volunteersInterface and collaborate with other Help Group departments as well as outside agency staff and consumerAssist in the development and execution of marketing strategies and efforts (including materials) to publicize social and recreational program offerings, both in-house as well as to the community at largePresent and directly market social and recreational programs to Help Group parents, as well as to various community groups including community and camp fairs, parent groups, civic groups, professional groups, conferences, agencies, etc.Conduct screenings, interviews, and intake meetings for potential social and recreational program participantsRespond and address parent / consumer / staff problems, concerns, complaints related to social and recreational programsCoordinate parent support and education groups, after school social skills groups, or other program groups as neededProvide consultation and staff or volunteer in-service training as neededConduct all functions in accordance with Agency guidelines, policies, and proceduresComply with applicable professional licensing or certification requirements and ethicsArrange work schedule or required hours to the benefit of the program, with the approval of your SupervisorQualificationsMinimum Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology, social work, education, or a related fieldPreferred qualifications include 2 years of experience working with Developmentally Delayed and Autism Spectrum Disorder communities, specifically toddlers, youth and teens.Previous camp and afterschool enrichment program development required.Strong background in program development.Outgoing, creative, and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to multitask.Strong community relations and marketing abilities.Availability to work flexible days and hours to respond to program needs.Possess a valid CA driver’s license with good driving record and proof of auto insuranceBenefitsThe Help Group offers wonderful training opportunities, a supportive, professional work environment, and great benefits, including : Insurance plans forMedical, Dental, Vision, andLife Insurance -options for 100% employer sponsoredplans403b Retirement Plan529 College Savings PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending AccountVacation and Sick LeaveBenefitHub -EmployeeRewards and IncentivesPet Insurance#J-18808-Ljbffr
