We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support to our internal users. This role involves resolving hardware and software issues, managing support requests, setting up computer systems, and ensuring a seamless technology experience for end users.

Physical Demands :

  • Lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Requires reading printed materials and distinguishing colors.
  • Work at computer and monitor for extended periods of time.
  • Reliable transportation and valid Driver License.
  • Travel to remote office required.

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Provide technical support for desktop computers, applications, and related technology.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating more complex problems to higher-level IT staff or external vendors as needed.
  • Assist in the deployment of new systems and upgrades to existing systems.
  • Ensure desktop systems and applications comply with company standards and policies.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Conduct regular maintenance to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Manage and track support requests using the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Provide guidance and training to end users on best practices for using software and hardware.
  • Maintain documentation of support processes, procedures, and user guides.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure the smooth operation of the network and server environments.
  • Minimum Qualifications :

  • Proficiency in desktop hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing systems is a plus.
  • High School diploma or equivalent; an associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • CompTIA A certification
  • Microsoft Certified : Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation certification (optional but beneficial)
