The Guest Services Associate delivers world class service and hospitality to our guests visiting the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Greenfield Village, Ford Rouge Factory Tour, and Giant Screen Experience by providing hospitality, service, and knowledge to all guests. Responsible for orientating guests, sales of daily admissions products and annual memberships, ticket redemption at all entrance points, sales of rental equipment, operation of the GSE, and other duties as assigned. Weekend and occasional evening hours are required to meet the needs of The Henry Ford and to maintain the guest service standards and goals of the department. Reports to the Guest Services Supervisors and Managers.
Essential Responsibilities
- Acts as a host for The Henry Ford. Greets and Welcomes all guests of The Henry Ford. Conveys a positive image of The Henry Ford.
- Orients and assists guests planning their day at The Henry Ford.
- Handles guest inquiries and issues effectively, promptly, and consistently.
- Sells tickets and packages to all ticketed events or experiences at The Henry Ford. Provides prompt and accurate sales transactions at all ticketing locations.
- Works with guests to understand admission options including daily tickets, multi-venue packages, annual memberships, and special events.
- Assists guests with travel information, directions, and Lost & Found items.
- Checks annual memberships and redeems daily tickets at all entrance points.
- Distributes Welcome Guides and daily or event program information to all guests.
- Responsible for rentals of wheelchairs, electric scooters, and wagons by securing the rental equipment, securing and properly retaining the rental agreement and/or license, and providing instruction on the use of each piece of equipment.
- Works as part of the Giant Screen Experience Team, including the preparation and selling of concessions items, seating guests timely to ensure prompt starting of a movie, cleaning up the theatre upon the conclusion of a show, and maintaining a presence in the theatre during its operation. Cares for the maintenance and delivery of 3D glasses for the Giant Screen Experience.
- Greets school and tour busses and orientating their riders.
- Loads and unloads the Ford Rogue Factory Tour buses.
- Works as a host for special events as needed.
- Performs other activities as necessary and assigned.
Your Qualifications
- 16 years of age or older
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays
