We are seeking enthusiastic and passionate Summer Camp Supervisors to facilitate a fun-filled program of engaging and safe educational experiences for campers aged 7-13 years. As part of The Henry Ford’s Learning & Engagement team, you will have the opportunity to help shape and lead an outstanding program. Essential Responsibilities
- Oversee Extended Care, lunch and recess to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all campers.
- Works closely with the administrative team and camp counselors to ensure cohesive camp operations and effective communication across all levels.
- Observe and provides guidance to camp counselors, ensuring they have the resources and support needed to deliver the camp program effectively.
- Handle incoming phone calls and emails during extended hours, addressing any inquiries or issues promptly.
- Support the drop-off and pickup process, by ensuring smooth transitions for campers arriving late or leaving early.
- Assist camp administrative staff with the optimization of counselor resources and schedules prior to the start of camp.
- Knows, understands, and applies all policies and emergency procedures to maintain the safety and wellbeing of campers
- Follows The Henry Ford and the Learning & Engagement team guidelines in conducting programs and projects including communication with participants, applications, awards, contracts, and reporting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Your Qualifications
- 18 years of age of older
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Additional Requirements & Important Dates
- Must be available to work camp training (could be scheduled on Saturdays), prep week, 5 weeks of camp, and 2 clean up days - June 7th-August 5th, (off week of July 4th)
- Camp staff are often outdoors and will be active all day – must have stamina and a sunny disposition
