What are the responsibilities and job description for the Master Level Youth Counselor position at The Henry & Rilla White Foundation?
The Henry & Rilla White Youth Foundation, a non-profit human services organization, is seeking a master's degree level counselor to work in the Tallahassee, FL area serving Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) Probation Youth. The Program will include screening, evaluating, treating, and case management of youth referred by the Department of Juvenile Justices. The youth being served are on court ordered DJJ probation and are required to complete these counseling activities to avoid advancement further into the DJJ system.
Essential Functions
- E ffectively manages assigned caseload and contract expectations.
- Complete new Referrals Intake and Evaluation
- Formulate Individual Treatment Plan
- Conduct Monthly Treatment Plan Reviews
- Hold weekly Individual or Family Counseling sessions
- Maintain Census report and weekly Calendar
- Attend weekly supervision meetings in person, by phone, or video conference with licensed supervisor.
- Upload all reports in a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications include : Masters Degree from an accredited college or University in counseling, social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy or related field. Training and experience in cognitive-Behavioral therapy, structural family therapy, and other behaviorally-based treatments are preferred (but not required).
