What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Handyman - P.M. Shift position at The Herrington Inn & Spa?
This position is primarily second shift (3pm-11pm) Weekdays & Weekends.
Position Summary: Maintain the interior and exterior of the hotel and banquet facility including equipment and following all preventative maintenance procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Daily:
- Check and complete front office maintenance log sheet upon arrival
- Re-lamp all light fixtures as needed
- Perform all assigned tasks
- Complete preventative maintenance on guest rooms and public areas
- Will complete exterior maintenance daily assignments in the absence of Exterior Attendant
- Shovel snow and salt where needed
- Special Projects as assigned by Director of Housekeeping
- Assist in identifying when maintenance issues will require a room to be placed out of order
Monthly:
- Replace Furnace Filters
- Inventory engineering supplies to maintain an accurate supply of parts.
- Power wash decks and patios as assigned
General:
- Arrive to work 10 minutes prior to scheduled starting time.(2pm-10pm)
- Wear proper uniform with nametag.
- Review any issues with supervisor
- Follow all rules specified in employee handbook
- Purchase Supplies at preferred vendors with proper approval
