GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Coatings Planner will plan the near-term coatings/fabrication schedules working directly with the area supervisor, in conjunction with available capacity as defined by the MPS. They will manage and coordinate the scheduling and production control processes to ensure satisfactory fulfillment of customer requirements are met with the company's objectives and policies. They will interface and collaborate with all impacted functional areas regarding schedule issues, sales, engineering, purchasing, shipping, project management, thereby optimizing flow of product through production. The position will be responsible for schedule adherence/off-schedule position.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Experience required related to steel fabrication/industrial coatings or production planning, in the steel industry.
- A degree in a related field preferred. In lieu of a degree, candidate will possess a minimum of three (3) years of steel fabrication and/or industrial coatings experience.
- Proficient in SAP, MS Office, and blueprint reading.
- Excellent organizational, communication & interpersonal skills required.
