Job Summary:
Manages and controls the flow of projects both inbound and outbound from the warehouse; processes warehouse paperwork and maintains warehouse files; schedules warehouse personnel to maximize efficiency, keep claims down and ensure profitability. Manage the day-to-day activities of the warehouse supervisors as well as oversight of warehouse personnel. Communicates effectively with operations and customer service daily.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Direct supervision of warehouse personnel that work in or around the warehouse on any given day. Works closely with the operations team to assure customer satisfaction. Maintains good rapport with contract drivers and local drivers; maintains relationship with other agents regarding warehousing needs. Assures safety is top priority in the warehouse.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plans an efficient daily work schedule for the warehouse.
- Evaluates each warehouseman’s skills and selects the appropriate individual(s) for each specific job.
- Maintains a safe and clean warehouse facility.
- Provides a work environment filled with positivity and enthusiasm.
- Keeps warehouse claims to a minimum by enforcing proper exceptions and loading procedures.
- Meets claims goals for warehouse yearly.
- Maintains good working relationships with operations and customer service personnel to meet the needs of our clients.
- Supervises and controls flow of traffic and personnel.
- Monitors workload of teams within the warehouse.
- Meets with supervisors daily to review the tasks for success.
- Supervises maintenance and upkeep of facility and parking lot.
- Warehouse Management System (Windfall) – Must become proficient in this technology and adopt and support the daily usage of it on our projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Computer literacy; excellent communication and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task and complete tasks necessary. Knowledge of forklifts and their operation. Ability to follow HR rules and provide guidance and discipline to direct reports.
Qualifications
Required Education: 2 to 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience: 5 years of warehouse management experience overseeing a minimum of 20 warehouse employees. A proven track record or success with warehouse management.
