Job Summary
Perform, monitor, and assign work duties to warehouse personnel, prioritized and established by the Area Manager, to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Drive a culture of safety, be self-motivated, with good organizational and team-building skills, and achieve high level results by embracing continuous improvement methodologies.
Essential Job Functions *
Communicates with manager to determine priorities, observes work-in-progress, and advises manager of issues
Serves as a resource to team members – answers question and resolves operating problems
Demonstrates “role model” work habits and fosters teamwork within the department
Enhances team morale – discusses issues and suggestions with manager and follows up with team members
Conducts on-the-job training and provides constructive feedback to employees
Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
Transfers finished products to designated areas
Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
Continually seeks opportunities to improve department operations
Encourages team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Operates a manual pallet jack, powered pallet jack, forklift, order picker, and Drexel. Performs safety checks prior to use. Reports machine problems to manager. Charges industrial truck batteries as needed.

Education & Experience
High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
Forklift Certification required.
Related experience is highly preferred.
Good attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work from verbal and written instruction
Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.
Able to work accurately with numbers and use a calculator

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work Environment
Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
