The coordinator will determine method for storage, identification, and stock location, considering weight limits, turnover, and required space.
Essential Duties
- Drive to outlying work areas to check status of orders or to deliver/pick-up materials.
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipping. Records all data into our SyteLine ERP system.
- Notes out-of-stock items and provides out-of-stock lists to the purchasing team.
- Compares identifying information upon receipt of goods against bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Unpacks and inspects incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and reports damage or shortages to the supply chain manager.
- Assembles wooden/cardboard containers or preassembled cartons and selects appropriate filler to protect contents during shipping.
- Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and marks cartons with identifying information as necessary.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Responsible for stocking/restocking shelves in predetermined inventory locations.
- May complete charge slips in response to requisition for materials and parts and records in computer inventory system.
- Performs annual physical inventory and periodic cycle counts and investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
- Operates hand-truck or forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping/receiving area or to work location and is willing to obtain necessary license(s) for the use of this machinery.
- Conducts product ordering for both inventoried items and non-inventoried consumables as needed.
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.
- Understands and performs all work to Hinckley quality standards.
- Performs other related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Valid drivers license.
- High School or general equivalency degree (GED).
- Strong organizational, accurate keying, computer and communication skills are required.
- Must be able to work well with others and maintain a constructive work environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be organized and detail oriented with an emphases on accuracy.
- Lift and carry 25 lbs. and up to 60 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Requires working under somewhat disagreeable conditions on an occasional basis where elements such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, cold, vibration, noise, water or chemicals may be present, but usually not more than one at a time.
