The Hire Solution has partnered with a leading construction company based in Irving, Texas, specializing in high-quality construction projects for the position of Accounting Manager. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and help drive our financial success.
Job Summary : The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in construction, engineering, or home building and will be proficient in using JD Edwards, Sage 100, or similar ERP systems. This is an on-site position, and the Accounting Manager will supervise a team of up to four employees.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable / receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end / year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of four accounting employees.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for business decisions.
- Utilize ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Sage 100, or similar to maintain accurate financial records and streamline accounting processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
