Business Systems Analyst
Our client, a Boston-based investment firm, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week onsite. This role centers on optimizing and expanding the firm’s use of the Anaplan platform to support financial and operational planning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Anaplan, a strong background in finance or analytics, and the ability to bridge business needs with technical execution in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support and troubleshoot Anaplan models to ensure accurate data and reliable performance
- Partner with finance and IT teams to shape and maintain the Anaplan roadmap
- Configure Anaplan to meet evolving process, functionality, and security needs
- Define and manage the support structure for Anaplan, including coordination with internal and external resources
- Train and enable end users and IT team members on Anaplan tools and processes
- Collaborate with vendor partners to stay informed on new capabilities and advocate for enhancements
- Drive continuous improvement in both functionality and technical performance of the platform
- Identify opportunities to scale Anaplan usage across teams and incorporate them into long-term planning
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, information technology, finance, or a related field
- Master’s degree in finance, analytics, or computer science preferred
- 3 years of experience designing, building, and managing Anaplan models across full project lifecycles
- Anaplan Certified Model Builder and Certified Solution Architect credentials (required)
- Deep understanding of connected planning methodologies and platform capabilities
- Experience in corporate or consulting roles involving accounting or financial planning and analysis strongly preferred
- Familiarity with alternative asset management or private equity environments is a plus
- Background in Anaplan consulting strongly preferred
- Experience with data integration, analytics platforms, and visualization tools is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Highly organized and self-driven, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment
