Position Overview

The Holton Company, LLC is seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance and Administration to provide strategic leadership in financial management, trust and estate oversight, and investment strategy. This critical role ensures the financial health of the company, supports estate and wealth management objectives, and oversees high-level administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex financial operations, optimizing investment returns, and collaborating with key stakeholders on estate and tax compliance. Additionally, this position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a $100MM transaction divestiture process, driving strategic initiatives that shape the future of the company. The role includes a competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, and potential investment opportunities alongside the principal.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership & Management

  • Lead and manage finance and administrative teams to align with company objectives and maintain financial health.
  • Oversee balance sheet and P&L management, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Reports must be presented to principals within 12 days of the close of each month and quarter.
  • Maximize investment returns by collaborating with external consultants and wealth managers (e.g., JPMorgan).

Trust and Estate Management

  • Manage family trusts and conduct quarterly reviews with trustees and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. estate and trust laws and collaborate with external estate experts to implement best practices.

Asset and Liability Oversight

  • Oversee and professionally manage the family’s assets and liabilities.
  • Enhance reporting procedures to ensure timely and accurate updates.

Investment Strategy and Wealth Planning

  • Assist in identifying and optimizing asset investments (Brookside, Bain Capital, etc), including evaluation of new opportunities.
  • Actively search for new family wealth management opportunites, and assess the suitability and benefits of potential investments.
  • Collaborate with professional advisors to align wealth perpetuation plans with family objectives.

Business Acquisition and Divestiture Support

  • Collaborate with the CEO on acquisition and divestiture processes, including investmetn bank selection, financial evaluations, and letter of Intent (LOI) management.
  • Prepare divestiture memorandums and manage smooth transaction processes.

Collaborative Management with PVG Clinics

  • Work collaboratively with the PVG executive team to optimize operations and divestment strategies.
  • Utilize expertise in Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) with a focus on AI-driven principles for efficiency.
  • Oversee the integration and optimization of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, (a preference will be given for candidates with experience in the healthcare vascular field).
  • Identify and deploy innovative solutions to enhance financial and administrative workflows.

Estate Planning Oversight

  • Stay updated on estate laws and collaborate with legal experts to ensure favorable tax optimization.
  • Regularly review estate plans to maintain relevance and compliance.

Holton Family Foundation Management

  • Oversee the foundation’s management, with additional compensation to be determined.

Tax Strategy and Compliance

  • Develop and oversee effective federal and state tax strategies within legal boundaries, leveraging external resources, consultants, and other field experts, for optimal positioning.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (PhD, MBA or CPA preferred).
  • Experience: 6 years in financial management, trust/estate management, and investment strategy.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of U.S. estate and tax law.
  • Proven success in business acquisitions, divestitures, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with RCM, EMR systems, and healthcare sector operations preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and team leadership capabilities.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct financial modeling and assess new investment opportunities.
